Liverpool keeper: We are a bloodthirsty shark

The Brazilian soccer goalkeeper described his team, Liverpool, as a “bloodthirsty shark” in an interview published on Friday by the Brazilian newspaper Fulia de São Paulo.

“We tasted the taste of victory by winning the Champions League title and we want to achieve more. We are like a penny who smells blood in the water and attacks,” said the 27-year-old European Champions League goalkeeper.

He added: “We have developed the winning instinct within our team, we believe we can achieve all of our goals.”

Liverpool is moving steadily to win the Premier League title for the first time in 30 years and add it to the European Super Cup and Club World Cup titles, which they won early this season and late last year, respectively.

The men of the German coach Juergen Klopp collected 73 points out of 75 possible in 25 league matches so far, and they are 22 points away from their closest pursuers Manchester City champion of the last two seasons.
